Job summary

CKS Packaging, Inc. in Haw River, NC seeks a Safety Coordinator to lead the plant's environmental health and safety program. The role reports to the site plant manager and supports corporate EHS initiatives, fostering a strong safety culture across all levels.

The candidate will oversee incident investigations, regulatory compliance (OSHA/EPA/DOT), and training, driving injury prevention and operational excellence in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in Safety Management, or related field preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish and/or CSP a plus.
• A minimum of 3 years of safety experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of government regulations in environmental health and safety.
• Proven ability to influence people without direct reporting lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead deployment of plant safety programs and the do-no-harm safety philosophy.
• Manage injury/illness and environmental case documentation and reporting.
• Coordinate RTW programs and oversee near miss investigations.
• Maintain safety records and ensure regulatory compliance at the plant.
• Deliver safety training and coach management on EHS policies and procedures.
