Job summary

Comrise seeks an experienced EHS Safety Engineer for a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Glendale, Kentucky. Develops and maintains EHS programs, conducts risk assessments, and leads regulatory compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local authorities.

The role includes approximately six months of paid training in Marshall, Michigan before relocating to Glendale, KY, with company-provided accommodations during training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field
• Experience working in large manufacturing organization
• Experience in the automotive or automotive-related manufacturing industry
• Stable employment history, including at least three years with the most recent employer
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, industrial safety standards, and environmental compliance
• Experience conducting incident investigations, risk assessments, and employee safety training
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to complete approximately six months of training in Marshall, MI before relocating to Glendale, KY

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
• Promote a strong safety culture through employee engagement, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Conduct risk assessments, hazard analyses, and workplace inspections to identify and mitigate workplace hazards
• Investigate workplace incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations
• Support emergency preparedness and emergency response programs
• Monitor safety performance metrics and prepare reports for management
• Partner with engineering, operations, and leadership teams to improve workplace safety and environmental performance
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
