Job ID: 2955299 | Amazon.com Services LLC

Amazon's Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) team is seeking an enthusiastic Program Manager to join the Safety Learning and Development (SLeD) team. We are not an average company, and this is certainly not your average position. This role offers a unique opportunity to revolutionize safety training delivery worldwide through our Hawkeye program, which focuses on American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED certification training initiatives.

As a WHS Program Manager, you will lead WHS programs and have the chance to make a global impact on safety training. The SLeD team seeks an experienced, self-motivated professional who excels in a fast-paced environment and has a solid background in program management and facilitation. You will play a crucial role in devising strategies, fostering partnerships, and executing initiatives to enhance the program's reach and impact. Your responsibilities will include streamlining and expanding the Hawkeye program, Amazon's support program for all American Red Cross First Aid, CPR, and AED training certification levels. Your focus will be supporting the field and developing solutions for Amazonians to receive training.

This position entails serving as the main point of contact for stakeholders in coordinating and managing strategic, cross-functional, and business-critical programs and projects. The ideal candidate excels in facilitating large-scale training programs, encompassing training design, roadmaps, gap analyses, financial planning, communication, and launch plans in a dynamic and diverse business environment. Effective communication and program management skills are essential, enabling you to manage multiple competing priorities and coordinate work across teams.

The assignments are intricate and support business priorities at regional, country, and global levels. This role demands expert influential leadership across all verticals and horizontals, with visible timelines aligned to WHS goals and initiatives. As the Program Manager, you will oversee multiple initiatives simultaneously, from initiation to closure, with the flexibility to adjust priorities as needed.

We are looking for a creative and passionate advocate for stakeholders, possessing proven analytical capabilities, extensive program experience, meticulous attention to detail, and strong prioritization and multitasking skills. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, high flexibility, commitment, and a knack for overcoming challenges in ambiguous situations.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity to make a lasting impact on Amazon's global safety training initiatives while working with a dynamic team dedicated to workplace health and safety excellence. Join us in revolutionizing how we deliver safety training worldwide.

This role requires travel 25-50% of the time within North America.

Key job responsibilities

  1. Lead strategic direction and daily operations of the Hawkeye program, including global expansion strategies and implementation
  2. Manage relationships with American Red Cross leadership and stakeholders while overseeing certification processes for provider, instructor, and instructor-trainer levels

  4. Design and implement scalable training solutions across platforms while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and Amazon's requirements
  5. Lead and develop teams of ARC Instructor Trainers and program support staff across multiple regions
  6. Collaborate with WHS teams, Operations Excellence, Global Medical Health, and international teams to drive program success
  7. Manage program budget, resource allocation, and maintain quality control measures while establishing program standards and processes
