Job summary

Google Cloud seeks an experienced EHS Program Manager to drive end-to-end environment, health, and safety initiatives at our Council Bluffs site. You will lead programs, evaluate risks, manage regulators, and ensure AHJ compliance while partnering with stakeholders across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Information Systems, Occupational Health, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Program Manager-related occupation.
• Position requires 2 years of experience in program or project management, including tracking and managing EHS operational metrics, EHS management systems, and compliance with environmental programs.
• Experience managing safety programs, incident investigation with follow-up, risk assessments, contractor management training, and emergency response; working with stakeholders and employees in EHS program implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) programs, driving operational and technical improvements.
• Anticipate issues, propose solutions, and identify needs to develop or improve EHS Ops tools/processes; evaluate incident data and track corrective actions.
• Evaluate EHS impact during data center design reviews, equipment changes, and process changes; perform EHS risk evaluations and define process controls.
• Ensure AHJ compliance, manage permits and KPIs; provide site ownership and drive EHS turn-up of new locations with minimal supervision.
• Own site-based EHS decision-making and serve as SME in multiple EHS verticals; domestic travel more than 10% of the time.
