Job summary

GLOVIS America, Inc. is seeking a Safety Technician to help monitor the work environment, conduct safety audits, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.

The role requires attention to safety procedures, incident reporting, and collaboration with the Safety Manager on programs. Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and proven safety experience with strong computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license without restrictions.
• Experience in workplace safety and OSHA standards knowledge.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with safety software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor work environment for hazards and enforce safety procedures.
• Conduct safety inspections and audits; stop unsafe acts.
• Enter accident and injury reports into PMvitals.
• Assist in safety program development and security audits.
• Support issuance/deactivation of access badges and safety training.

Summary

Monitor company safety activities and programs to ensure a safe and accident-free work environment for all employees. Conducts facility and vehicle handling safety audits for all employees. Assists with conducting OSHA training, and investigating vehicle accidents and injuries.

Responsibilities

Primary

• Monitor the work environment for possible hazards such as slips, trips, falls, electrical shock, and exposure to hazardous chemicals.
• Conduct inspections of personnel to identify issues or non-conformity.
• Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy.
• Assist with entering accident and injury reports into PMvitals.
• Conduct safety audits, to include PPE, observing safety procedures, etc.
• Issue citations to employees out of compliance

Secondary

• Assist Safety Manager in all safety programs.
• Assist with security audits / investigations
• Assist with issuance / deactivation of access badges
• Assist departments in safety procedure
• All other duties assigned

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/G.E.D
• Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions
• Experienced in Safety
• Knowledge of OSHA standards
• Computer Skills
