Siemens Industry Inc. is seeking anEHS Professional for 2nd shift, at its over 1000-employedfast-paced manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX.
The EHSProfessional is responsible for managing safety, health, and environmentalcompliance (OSHA, EPA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001, etc) as well as associatedprograms and initiatives across factory operations. This role will workclosely with the leadership team and is responsible for leading thedevelopment, implementation, and coordination of EHS programs and policies toensure compliance and drive sustainable EHS culture improvement. This positionhas a direct impact on Business Unit performance and must possess an in-depthknowledge of safety and environmental regulations as well as stronginterpersonal and leadership skills. The candidate must possess theability/ skills to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization.
TheEHS Professional will serve as a resource to the employees at the location,provide tools and support to site leadership in order to achieve Siemens’ EHS goalsand objectives. The role is especially important because it supports a largemanufacturing facility (>1,000 employees) operating on 2 nd shift , where leadership visibility and EHS supportare critical. This role will also be responsible for maintaining and improvingEHS policies and programs.
Coordinatewith the factory’s Leadership Team and Corporate Resources on EHSactivities and initiatives
Leadcross functional teams to achieve EHS goals and objectives
Conductingand managing EHS incident investigations, including incident tracking andrecordkeeping requirements (internal and external)
Performing/coordinatingindustrial hygiene surveys, ergonomic evaluations, air monitoring, noisesampling
Workin concert with the training department on relevant EHS training programs,including but not limited to Personal Protective Equipment, Emergency Response,Hazard Communication, etc.; this may include content development and trainingfacilitation
Participatingin audit activities (internal and external) including identification of EHSissues and driving actions to resolve
Currentknowledge of existing environmental and occupational safety regulations includingbut not limited to RCRA, Industrial Pretreatment Program, SWPPP, SPCC, OSHA, NFPA70E, ANSI, etc.
Trackingenvironmental related Federal, State, and Local regulatory changes known to or thatmay impact operations
Interfacingwith regulatory agencies, employees, and outside legal counsel on behalf ofbusiness when required: coordinating business response and/orcomments to regulatory changes
Ensuringcompliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards
Bachelor’sdegree
8-10 years EHS experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (i.e.overhead crane operation, high voltage equipment testing, ergonomicassessments, etc.)
Experiencewith ISO 45001:2018 OSHMS & 14001:2015 EMS
Experiencemanaging/leading occupational safety & health programs (injury reduction,trending, etc.)
Demonstratedexperience working on cross-functional teams as well as leading EHS projects(project management experience)
Individualmust be self-directed with the ability to work with limited supervision
Musthave strong verbal and written skills
Useof MS Office programs including outlook, word, excel and PowerPoint
Legallyauthorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basiswithout company sponsorship.
Preferredqualifications include ASP, CSP, CHMM
Bachelor’sdegree in EHS or related scientific field
Solidunderstanding of environmental regulations (RCRA, DOT, etc.)
