Job summary

BLOX LLC in Bessemer, AL is seeking an EHS Manager to own day-to-day manufacturing safety and environmental health programs on the floor. You will lead investigations, enforce safety standards, and manage training and compliance records to keep operations safe and efficient.

You will develop and implement core safety programs, coordinate with operations, facilities, and warehousing, and drive continuous improvement while leading EHS staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Health, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 7+ years of progressive EHS experience in heavy manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial construction, including at least 2 years supervising EHS staff.
• Hands-on experience leading incident investigations and root-cause analysis in-house, including serious injuries.
• Working command of OSHA 1910 with practical exposure to 1926, in mixed manufacturing and construction environments.
• Experience building and delivering training programs internally, including equipment qualification, without relying on outside vendors.
• Working knowledge of industrial hygiene fundamentals: exposure assessment, sampling, and interpreting results into controls.

Responsibilities

• Run daily EHS operations across the manufacturing campus, including inspections, hazard correction, area releases, and response.
• Lead in-house investigations for injuries, near misses, and property damage with root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Own the training system end to end: matrix, delivery, competency verification, and records retrievable on demand.
• Maintain and enforce core safety programs: LOTO, electrical safety, fall protection, machine guarding, and more.
• Manage the corrective-action tracker with owners, due dates, and field-verified closure, reporting weekly.
• Oversee OSHA 1904 recordkeeping and workers' compensation coordination through EHS leadership.
