Job summary

Mobis Alabama LLC is seeking an EHS Specialist to drive the company-wide environmental, health, and safety program. You will train Team Members on applicable EHS topics and ensure adherence to laws and regulations through audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions.

Responsibilities include hazard assessment, hazard control, and coordination of SMS/EMS audits. The role requires strong communication skills and experience with hazardous materials handling in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 Management Systems.
• Familiar with heavy industrial equipment and associated safety practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate EHS programs, procedures, and operations for compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Promote implementation of health and wellness programs for all Mobis Alabama Team Members.
• Assess workplace environments, equipment, and practices to identify hazards and complete new equipment checklists.
• Ensure full compliance with EHS standards and government regulations.
• Participate in incident investigations to identify root causes and determine corrective actions.
• Conduct EHS orientation for new Team Members and train on handling hazardous materials.
• Administer, coordinate, and comply with all EHS guidelines and audits.
• Work 30% office and 70% production floor; support shift coverage as needed.
