Job summary

Amcor Flexibles, LLC in Alsip, Illinois seeks a seasoned safety leader to direct activities related to OSHA, EPA and other regulatory affairs, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.

You will develop and manage safety programs, lead audits and investigations, organize training, and partner with supervisors to drive continuous improvement across our manufacturing operations. This role requires strong communication, data analysis and a proactive approach to prevent incidents and protect our team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of safety experience in an industrial setting.
• BS degree in industrial safety management preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multitask.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other government regulations.
• ISO 9001:2015 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and manage safety programs, policies and procedures.
• Conduct audits to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee safety concerns reported by employees and ensure completion.
• Lead incident investigations and prepare reports.
• Organize safety training including forklift, lockout/tag-out, and new hire.
• Provide safety orientation to new employees.
• Maintain OSHA logs and SDS sheets.
