Qualifications

• Four-year degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, environmental discipline or equivalent field.
• 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environmental, health, and safety setting.
• Professional certifications such as CIH, CSP, ASP, CHMM, and/or PE preferred
• Comprehension of industry, local, state, and federal EHS requirements/regulatory agencies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Ability to train on EHS-related topics
• Ability to lead and support cross-functional safety initiatives

Responsibilities

• Provide facility leadership and support in safety, health, and environmental compliance.
• Develop and execute training and communication materials for the facility.
• Analyze, teach, and influence safety improvements and behaviors.
• Own and manage EHS-related tasks and projects.
• Mentor EHS champions at all levels in the facility.
• Coordinate safety action plans with facility leadership.
• Perform Job Hazard Assessments / Job Safety Analysis.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and communications.
• Lead in safety best practices and KPI tracking.
• Participate in incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Research and implement engineered safety solutions to prevent incidents.
• Manage environmental permitting, air compliance, and training.
