Job summary

Sabre Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced environmental, health and safety professional to lead safety, health, medical, workers’ compensation and environmental programs.

You will ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations, manage MSDS and training, and coordinate with management to reduce incidents and injuries while maintaining a safe workplace across our manufacturing facility in Fort Worth, TX.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or Environmental Engineering required.
• Certified Safety Professional preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, or environmental experience, preferably in steel manufacturing.
• Strong background in training employees, supervision and management in all EH&S areas.
• Knowledge of Federal, State and Local laws relevant to EH&S.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and policies.
• Manage MSDS program for materials used, received and processed at the facility.
• Develop and implement JSA’s and training programs for safety equipment and hazards.
• Manage Workers’ Compensation program and coordinate with providers.
• Create partnerships with managers, medical providers and workers comp carriers to manage claims.
• Develop emergency evacuation plans and procedures.
• Participate in management health, safety and environmental audits.
• Oversee employee safety committee and first responder training.
