Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America seeks an experienced EHS Manager to lead safety and environmental programs across Frederick, MD and Cumberland, NJ. Travel between sites is required, with 50% onsite and 50% remote support to keep regulatory compliance and safety performance at the highest level.

You will develop policies, manage OSHA/EPA/DOT compliance, conduct audits and incident investigations, and partner with site leaders to drive continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental outcomes.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in industrial safety/environmental sciences or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in safety and regulatory administration, preferably in manufacturing or transportation.
• CPR/First Aid certified; OSHA certifications and CSP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced EHS leadership across a division or multi-location unit within a complex regulatory framework.
• Advise managers on at-risk behaviors and administer the Observation and Coaching program.
• Interpret and implement OSHA General Industry, EPA, and DOT requirements and maintain compliance records.
• Lead root-cause analyses and implement permanent corrective actions for incidents.
• Perform site inspections, travel to facilities, and ensure adherence to safety standards.
• Develop and deliver EHS training for employees, supervisors, and leadership.
