TrinityRail is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager for the Gulf Coast operations in Vidor, TX. This role leads the EHS function to support compliance with company policy and regulatory requirements, working closely with operations to safeguard employees and the public.

The position requires developing safety and environmental programs, training, recordkeeping, investigations, and workers’ compensation oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS or a related field; candidates pursuing a degree may be considered.
• 5+ years of safety experience in a manufacturing facility.
• 3+ years of experience managing employees.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification strongly desired.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to safety, health, environment, and workers’ compensation.
• Ability to supervise and interface across all levels.
• Knowledge of FRA and DOT regulations.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and generate timely reports.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and negotiate from shop floor to the C-Suite.

TrinityRail is searching for an Environmental, Health & Safety Manager in Vidor, TX.

We provide a complete array of railcar maintenance services. In this role the ideal candidate will manage the Environmental, Health and Safety function to enable general and functional management to meet Trinity’s Environmental management policy.

What you’ll do:

• Develop safety and environmental programs for compliancetocompany and government regulations
• Manage a team of individual contributors responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety and environmental programs, processes and policies to safeguard employees, thegeneral publicand to ensure compliance withgovernmentalregulations
• Administer and monitor Corporate and Business Unit safety/environmental programs
• Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program
• Provide training to enable effective operation of the established safety systems
• Initiate, document and monitor corrective actions to adhere to safety programs
• Gather information and generate required and/or requested reports
• Manage the safety committee to accommodate production schedules and requirements
• Work with employees to resolve safety issues
• Keep the facility management team informed of safety and environmental concerns
• Participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries
