Job summary

Airgas, an Air Liquide company, is seeking an experienced Manager, Environmental Health and Safety for its San Marcos, CA operations. The role focuses on advancing safety culture, regulatory compliance, and operational risk management across regional facilities.

The EHS Manager partners with leadership to reduce risk, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and support incident investigations while fostering sustainable safety performance. Strong field presence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in environmental health and safety required.
• Ability to partner with operations to improve safety across multiple facilities.
• Strong investigations skills for injuries, incidents, and near-misses.
• Familiarity with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, EPA and local environmental requirements.

Responsibilities

• Partner with operations to integrate safety and compliance into daily decisions and processes.
• Provide EHS guidance and support to facilities throughout the geography.
• Conduct regular field visits, observations, and leadership engagements to identify hazards and risks.
• Guide and support investigations involving injuries, vehicle incidents, property damage, releases, fires, near misses, and other events.
• Monitor safety performance and develop risk-reduction strategies.
