Job summary

Envista is seeking an experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) leader to plan, direct, and implement comprehensive EHS programs across facilities in Michigan. The role focuses on OSHA compliance, environmental reporting, and training to ensure a safe workplace.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field with at least five years of experience, strong English communication, and proficiency in handling regulatory submissions and incident investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS or related field with at least five years' related experience or equivalent.
• English fluent (mandatory).
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business materials and regulations; write reports and procedures; present information to groups.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills; ability to apply fractions, percentages and probabilities.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs, and implements EHS programs to ensure compliance and address deficiencies.
• Plans and implements Health and Safety policies per OSHA rules and regulations.
• Implements environmental programs and submits reports per environmental regulations.
• Trains managers and staff on site safety, fire prevention, PPE, and EHS policies.
• Manages environmental reporting, regulatory submissions, and OSHA logs.
• Oversees industrial hygiene sampling and coordinates with third parties as needed.
• Administers workers' compensation and return-to-work programs with HR.
• Interacts with regulatory agencies during inspections and supports satellite sites.
• Mentors team members and provides performance feedback against KPIs.
• Investigates accidents and safety suggestions; leads corrective actions and safety orientation.
• Performs job hazard analyses, ergonomic reviews, and risk assessments.
• Conducts facility inspections and follows up on corrective measures.
