Job summary

Beehive Industries seeks an experienced EHS Manager to develop, implement and execute our EHS programs at the Loveland facility. You will work with site leadership to build a strong EHS culture and processes to support rapid growth in engine component testing, additive manufacturing, casting, and support laboratories.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in manufacturing or R&D, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and a track record of managing complex EHS programs with knowledge of

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Occupational Health & Safety Sciences or similar
  • 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or R&D environment
  • Experience with additive manufacturing, engine testing, or casting a plus
  • Proven experience with process or program management
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required, U.S. Citizens only

Responsibilities

  • Champion proactive safety initiatives to identify hazards, conduct risk assessments and engage employees to prevent injuries and improve site safety.
  • Independently identify, characterize, and mitigate risks at the Loveland facility.
  • Collaborate with site leadership to develop and execute focused EHS initiatives and objectives.
  • Build and support a strong safety culture through leadership to frontline operators.
  • Investigate root causes of injuries, events and near misses and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Deliver effective EHS training to site employees.
  • Write, implement and manage EHS programs, policies and procedures.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance for local, state and federal requirements and interface with regulators as applicable.
  • Manage manufacturing byproducts including Hazardous Waste with emphasis on compliance and cost minimization.
  • Collaborate with site team on change management projects

Role Overview

The EHS manger is responsible for the development, implementation and execution of our EHS programs at our Loveland, Ohio facility. This position will work closely with site leadership and local functions to build a strong EHS culture and processes to enable a fast growing innovative company, supporting engine component testing, additive manufacturing, casting, and support laboratories. The right candidate must have strong problem solving and communication skills, a proven background in developing and effectively managing EHS programs in research and development or testing environments.

What You’ll Do…
  • Champion proactive safety initiatives such as hazard identification programs, safety observations, risk assessments, and employee engagement efforts to prevent injuries and improve overall site safety performance
  • Independently identify, characterize, and mitigate risks at the Beehive Loveland facility
  • Interact and partner directly with site and functional leadership in the development and execution of focused EHS initiatives and objectives
  • Build and support a strong safety culture through leadership to front line operators
  • Perform investigations into the root cause of injuries, events, and near misses. Ensure appropriate actions are taken to correct and prevent recurrence of unsafe conditions and/or behaviors
  • Build and deliver effective EHS training to site employees
  • Write, implement, and manage EHS and programs, policies and procedures
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance of all local, state, and federal requirements and interact with regulators and key stakeholders as applicable to the Knoxville operations
  • Effectively manage manufacturing byproducts including Hazardous Waste; prioritizing compliance, waste and cost minimization
  • Collaborate closely with site team on change management projects
You have…
  • A BS degree in Occupational, Health & Safety Sciences or similar
  • A Minimum of 7+ years of experience in manufacturing or R&D environment
  • Experience with additive manufacturing, engine testing, or casting processes a plus
  • Proven experience with process or program management
  • Dynamic and active communicator with strong collaboration skills
  • Technical document writing a plus
  • Broad knowledge of regulatory and consensus standards including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, UL; and the ability to research and translate to business impact
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S.Citizens are required, as only U.S.Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
