Job summary

Skanska is seeking an EHS Manager to integrate environmental health and safety practices on a project, ensuring regulatory compliance and risk mitigation. The role is project-based and involves coordination with EH&S staff, superintendents, and project leadership to embed safety into daily operations.

The ideal candidate holds a safety/engineering degree with 5+ years of relevant experience and demonstrates basic management capabilities, prioritization, and coaching to drive safety performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety/Health or an engineering discipline or equivalent combination of training and related experience
• 5+ years prior relevant experience.
• Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution.
• Advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate environmental health & safety services into the project and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee EH&S on assigned project and interact with EH&S staff, superintendents, project manager, and regional EHS leadership.

The Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the integration of environmental health & safety services into the business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements on their assigned Project. The EHS manager shall be project based. The EHS manager oversees responsibilities of their assigned Project as related to environmental health & safety services and has direct interaction with EH&S Staff, Superintendents, Project Manager, Project Executive and Area / Regional EHS Director.

EHS Manager Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree – Occupational Safety / Health, or an engineering discipline degree or equivalent combination of training and related experience
• 5+ years prior relevant experience.
