Job summary

Skanska is seeking an Assistant EHS Manager to integrate environmental health and safety into project practices and ensure regulatory compliance. The role is project-based and involves interaction with EH&S staff, Superintendents, and Project leadership.

The position requires a relevant bachelor's degree (or 5+ years of experience), strong written communication, and proficiency in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with 3+ years of hazard identification and safety communication in construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, safety management, engineering, or equivalent, or 5+ years relevant experience.
• Strong written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• 3+ years identifying safety hazards and recommending controls.
• 3+ years in a safety role with cross-level communication in construction.

Responsibilities

• Integrate EH&S services into project practices and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Oversee EH&S on the assigned project and interact with EH&S staff, Superintendents, PMs, and Directors.
• Identify safety hazards and implement appropriate controls.
• Communicate safety requirements across all levels of the project team.

The Assistant Environmental Health & Safety Manager is responsible for the integration of environmental health & safety services into the business practices and compliance with regulatory requirements on their assigned Project. The Assistant EHS manager shall be project based. The Assistant EHS manager oversees responsibilities of their assigned Project as related to environmental health & safety services and has direct interaction with EH&S Staff, Superintendents, Project Manager, Project Executive and Area / Regional EHS Director.

Assistant EHS Manager Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, safety management, engineering, or equivalent or plus 5 years prior relevant experience


• Strong written communication skills


• Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint


• 3+ years of experience in a role assigned to the identification of safety hazards and recommending appropriate controls


• 3+ years of experience in a safety role that required communication with employees at all levels in a construction environment

Salary Low
