Job summary

Skanska USA is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to integrate EHS practices into project delivery and ensure regulatory and SHEMS compliance across projects. You will collaborate with EHS staff, superintendents, and project teams to drive safe operations and continuous improvement.

The role requires 5+ years in hazard identification and safety communication within construction, OSHA 30 certification, and a degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience identifying safety hazards and recommending controls.
  • 5+ years of safety role experience with communication across all levels in a construction environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with EHS staff, superintendents, project management, and regional EHS leadership; conduct site inspections and observations to verify proper use of safety equipment and controls.

  • Support safety and pre-construction meetings; lead site walks, compliance checks, and emergency preparedness activities.
  • Track leading and lagging indicators to drive continuous improvement.

The Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager is responsible for integrating EHS practices into project delivery and ensuring compliance with regulatory and corporate SHEMS requirements on assigned projects. EHS Manager Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a role assigned to the identification of safety hazards and recommending appropriate controls
  • 5+ years of experience in a safety role that required communication with employees at all levels in a construction environment
  • OSHA 30 certification
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer software including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, Engineering, or 8 years equivalent experience plus minimum 7 years prior relevant experience.

Salary Low
