Job summary

MPW Industrial Services is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to lead safety strategy and regulatory compliance. You will partner with operations leaders to reduce risk and foster a proactive safety culture across multiple job sites.

The role includes developing programs, training, audits, and ongoing improvement to protect workers and ensure lawful, safe operations. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of OSHA standards, proven leadership, and the ability to travel between job sites

Qualifications

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred in Safety, Environmental Health, or related field.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs across MPW operations.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Lead safety orientation and training for employees, supervisors, and new hires.
  • Maintain safety documentation, training records, certifications, and compliance reports.
  • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and field observations; identify hazards.
  • Recommend and monitor corrective actions to ensure timely hazard resolution.
  • Investigate incidents to determine root causes and preventive measures.
  • Drive continuous improvement to strengthen compliance and safety culture.

We’re looking for a dependable EHS Manager to lead safety strategy, ensure regulatory compliance, and foster a proactive safety culture across MPW operations. In this role, you\'ll partner with operational leaders to reduce risk, strengthen accountability, and support safe, compliant work environments across multiple job sites.

  • Analytical Thinking – Evaluate risks, identify trends, investigate incidents, and implement practical solutions that improve safety performance.
What You\'ll Do
  • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs, policies, and procedures across company operations.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety regulations.
  • Lead safety orientation and ongoing training programs for employees, supervisors, and new hires.
  • Maintain accurate safety documentation, training records, certifications, and compliance reports.
  • Conduct routine safety audits, inspections, and field observations to identify workplace hazards.
  • Recommend, assign, and monitor corrective actions to ensure timely hazard resolution.
  • Investigate incidents, injuries, and near misses to determine root causes and identify preventive measures.
  • Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce future risk and improve operational safety.
  • Facilitate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and committee discussions to promote engagement and accountability.
  • Monitor key safety performance indicators and provide regular reporting to leadership.
  • Partner with operations management to integrate safety expectations into daily work activities.
  • Supervise and mentor safety personnel by providing coaching, guidance, and performance support.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen compliance, reduce risk, and enhance the overall safety culture.
What You\'ll Need
  • Associate degree required; bachelor\'s degree in Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field preferred.
  • OSHA 30 certification (General Industry or Construction) required.
  • First Aid/CPR certification required or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.
  • Minimum of three years of safety experience, including at least two years in a leadership role.
  • Ability to travel between multiple job sites and work in active industrial and outdoor environments.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (8–10+ hour shifts) across job sites and uneven terrain.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and safely navigate confined or restricted spaces as required.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 30 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to perform repetitive physical movements including bending, kneeling, reaching, and crouching.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work in environments with exposure to weather, industrial noise, and other job-site conditions.
