Job description

Beehive Industries is dedicated to Powering American Defense by revolutionizing the design, development, and delivery of jet propulsion systems to support the warfighter. Through the integration of additive manufacturing, the company aims to meet the growing and urgent needs for unmanned aerial defense by dramatically improving a jet engine’s speed to market, fuel efficiency, and cost.

Founded in 2020, the company is headquartered in Englewood, Colorado, with additional facilities in Knoxville, Tennessee, Loveland Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ohio. Beehive is committed to growing and advancing the defense industrial base while manufacturing exclusively in the USA. This role will be located at our Englewood, Colorado facility.

The EHS Manager is responsible for the strategic development and execution of our EHS programs at our Englewood, CO facility. This position will work closely with site leadership and the engineering team. The right candidate must have strong problem-solving and communication skills, with a proven background in developing EHS management systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Interact and partner directly with site and functional leadership in the development and execution of focused EHS initiatives and objectives.
  2. Lead and cultivate a team of site-based EHS representatives to support actions and meet compliance obligations.
  3. Complete regulatory reporting as required by local, state, and federal requirements and interact with regulators and key stakeholders.
  4. Perform investigations into the root causes of injuries, events, and near misses. Ensure appropriate actions are taken to correct and prevent recurrence of unsafe conditions and behaviors.
  5. Write, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  6. Manage hazardous materials and ensure regulatory agency compliance (labeling, containment, proper disposal, documentation, etc.).
  7. Work closely with the site facility team on change management projects.

Education / Experience / Qualifications:

  • A BS degree in Occupational Health & Safety Sciences or similar (general science degrees are acceptable).
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a testing or R&D environment.
  • Experience with additive manufacturing or combustible dust processes is a plus.
  • Proven experience with process or program management.
  • Dynamic and active communicator with strong collaboration skills.
  • Technical and ISO document writing experience is a plus.
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 training is a plus. Lean/Six Sigma or TPS experience is also a plus.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $107,000-$186,000 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
