Job summary

Kymera International is seeking a senior EHS leader to direct and optimize the Environmental, Health and Safety programs for our metals operations. The role focuses on developing a robust EHS culture, regulatory adherence, and continuous improvement across plant facilities.

The incumbent will lead incident investigations, mentor site leaders, and ensure accurate reporting to USDOL OSHA, US EPA and state agencies. Strong communication and hands-on program management are essential.

Qualifications

  • BS in Environmental, Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Applied Science, Engineering or similar major.
  • 5–10 years of demonstrated EHS leadership in a primary metals manufacturing environment.
  • Eligibility to be CSP or CIH.
  • Hands-on experience developing and improving EHS programs and systems in manufacturing.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills for EHS direction and training.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage Safety Management System and EHS programs to ensure worker safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify and assess facility risks; implement proactive control measures to reach a zero injury/incidents culture.
  • Coach and develop managers and employees to achieve EHS objectives and training.
  • Create site-specific EHS practices, procedures and metrics aligned with best practices.
  • Conduct plant EHS audits and mitigate risks; implement corrective actions.
  • Prepare timely EHS reports for regulatory bodies and management.
