Job summary

Novo Nordisk in North Carolina is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead and support safe, compliant operations across GMP manufacturing areas. You will implement safety programs, coordinate regulatory interactions, and drive continuous improvement in environmental health practices.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will conduct EHS assessments, provide training, investigate incidents, and partner with site leadership to meet targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety or related field is required.
• Experience in a safety environment, preferably in a pharmaceutical manufacturing setting.
• Working knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations is required.
• ISO 14001/18001 knowledge preferred.
• Emergency management knowledge or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implementation of environmental & safety programs.
• Provide expertise & solutions to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct EHS assessments/inspections and remediation with area managers.
• Provide training & tools for core processes to improve performance.
• Communicate EHS performance statistics on a routine basis.
• Review recordable accidents and coach root-cause analysis.
