Job summary

Novo Nordisk is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety professional to provide leadership for a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible working environment within FFEx expansion activities across production areas.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will implement environmental and safety programs, support regulatory interactions, conduct assessments, deliver training, review incidents, and drive actions toward the company’s circular for zero safety goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in EHS or related field required.
• One year safety experience in pharma preferred.
• Associate degree with 3 years pharma safety experience acceptable.
• High School diploma with 5 years safety experience acceptable.
• Knowledge of OSHA/Environmental regs required.
• Root cause analysis skills preferred.
• ISO 14001/18001 knowledge preferred.
• Emergency management knowledge a plus.
• Pharma (cGMP) experience a plus.
• Strong communication and writing skills preferred.
• Fire detection/prevention systems knowledge a plus.
• Ability to develop and manage action plans.

Responsibilities

• Implement environmental and safety programs.
• Support ES&H aspects with regulatory agencies.
• Provide expertise to resolve issues for projects.
• Conduct EHS assessments and coordinate remediation.
• Provide training and tools for core processes.
• Communicate EHS performance statistics regularly.
• Review recordable accidents and coach root-cause analysis.
• Provide backup for emergency management and fire systems.
• Drive actions toward overall EHS strategies.
• Follow safety and environmental requirements.
• Other accountabilities as assigned.
