Job summary

Novo Nordisk in Clayton, NC seeks an Environmental Health & Safety professional to lead and support a safe, healthy, and environmentally responsible work environment within FFEx operations.

You will implement EHS programs, ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental regulations, perform risk assessments, train staff, and drive continuous improvement including incident investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Intermediate knowledge of OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Root cause analysis skills for accidents and investigations.
• ISO 14001/18001 knowledge is preferred.
• Emergency management planning knowledge is a plus.
• Pharmaceutical (cGMP) experience is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement environmental and safety programs.
• Support EHS aspects and regulatory interactions.
• Provide expertise and solutions to personnel and projects.
• Conduct EHS assessments/inspections and remediation with area managers.
• Provide training and tools to improve performance.
• Communicate EHS performance statistics regularly.
• Review accidents and coach root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
