Job summary

AFB International in Aurora, Missouri, seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to champion a safety-first culture and environmental stewardship at our site. You will partner with leadership to design strategies, drive continuous improvement, and ensure regulatory excellence across operations.

You will lead hazard assessments, incident investigations, and training programs, while managing budgets and capital investments to support long-term safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5-7 years of progressive EHS experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continually improve EHS strategies, programs, and policies.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessments, and job safety analyses.
• Drive incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Design and deliver EHS training for employees, supervisors, and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, DOT).
• Lead emergency response planning and business continuity initiatives.
