Job summary

Hydrite is seeking an EHS Intern for Summer 2027 to support environmental, health, and safety compliance across our facilities. You will gain hands-on experience in Industrial Hygiene monitoring, risk reviews, incident investigations, and PPE management.

The ideal candidate is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, EHS, or Natural Sciences with at least two years of coursework, strong written and verbal communication, and proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, EHS, or Natural Sciences.
• Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate coursework completed by start of internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication with employees and management.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned projects including Industrial Hygiene Monitoring.
• Support High Risk Program Review.
• Assist with Management of Change.
• Conduct Job Safety Analysis.
• Assist in Incident Review and Investigation including 5 Why analysis.
• Assist in PPE procurement and management for facilities.
• Follow SOPs and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Uphold Hydrite's standards of excellence in facilities and services.

EHS Intern - Summer 2027

The primary purpose of this position is to support all environmental, health, and safety compliance in the designated Hydrite facilities. Through this program, the intern will receive hands on experience in EHS responsibilities and demonstrate understanding through successful completion of the program.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Successfully complete assigned projects including but not limited to:
• Industrial Hygiene Monitoring
• High Risk Program Review
• Management of Change
• Job Safety Analysis
• Assist with Incident Review & Investigation including 5 Why analysis and other review techniques
• Assist in the management of the facilities PPE procurement & management
• Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned
• Uphold Hydrite's Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers

REPORTING STRUCTURE

• This position reports to the EHS Manager

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Safety, EHS, or Natural Sciences required.
• Minimum of 2 years of undergraduate degree coursework completed by start of internship.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with employees and management
• Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
• Strong computer skills and knowledge of Power Point, Word, and Excel required.
