Hydrite Chemical Co. is seeking a TS&D Intern for the Summer 2027 program. The role supports the TS&D chemists in ongoing research projects and lab duties, with emphasis on safe lab practices and data collection.

The internship runs full-time from May/June to August 2027, offering hands-on project experience with real business impact and potential for future opportunities upon graduation.

Qualifications

Must be studying to obtain a degree in Chemistry (Junior or Senior).
Completion of core Chemistry courses preferred.
Must possess good laboratory analytical skills.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
Able to apply advanced math skills and use problem solving.

Responsibilities

Assist TS&D chemists in completing research projects and lab duties.
Prepare samples for Distribution, FP, Water Treatment, and Foam Control.
Practice good laboratory safety techniques.
Assist chemists in completing lab requests and projects.

TS&D Intern (Summer 2027)

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the TS&D chemists in completing their research projects, and handling miscellaneous duties in the TS&D lab. This position will uphold the Hydrite “Standards of Excellence” through continuous commitment to customer satisfaction, both internal and external. This role will run full time from May/June - August 2027.

Primary responsibilities include:

Uphold Hydrite’s Standard of Excellence through a continuous commitment to maintain quality facilities and provide quality products and services to internal and external customers
Prepare samples for Distribution, FP, Water Treatment, and Foam Control.
Practice good laboratory safety techniques.
Assist chemists in completing lab requests and projects.
Ship small quantities of hazardous materials.
Perform all duties outlined in relevant SOPs and all other duties to be assigned.
Participate in RCRA, regulatory, health & safety and process training activities as required
Review changes/additions with your supervisor. Must be RCRA compliant.

REPORTING STRUCTURE

This position reports to the Director of Technology.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Must be studying to obtain a degree in Chemistry (Junior or Senior).
Completion of following core Chemistry courses: Analytical Chemistry, Physical Chemistry,
Organic Chemistry, and associated labs.
Must possess good laboratory analytical skills.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office.
Able to apply advanced math skills and use involved problem solving.
Must be self-motivated.
Must have communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to read, write, and speak English.
