Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Intern to support PFAS regulatory work and supplier assessments. You will identify PFAS-containing substances, assess manufacturers, and explore alternatives while collaborating with EH&S professionals on multiple programs.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BS/MS in EHS or Environmental Engineering, with strong communication and teamwork skills, returning to school in Fall 2027.

Qualifications

• Completion of coursework in environmental engineering, chemistry, related EHS programs, or another related field.
• Pursuit of a BS or MS degree in EHS, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
• Previous work experience showing ownership, planning, and collaboration.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Understand background on PFAS and current/regulatory implications of PFAS used at Seagate.
• Identify vendor chemicals and components that could contain PFAS substances.
• Identify critical manufacturers of these chemicals and components.
• Investigate PFAS usage and options for potential alternatives.
• Gain exposure to multiple EH&S programs and work with site professionals.
