Job summary

LAUKOA seeks an Environmental/Safety Coordinator to lead the EHS program with emphasis on hazardous waste management and regulatory compliance. You will ensure employees, subcontractors, and operations comply with applicable federal, state, local, and contract requirements, and maintain training, inspections, and reporting.

The role includes developing and administering the Safety Program, ensuring required documentation to the Contracting Officer within 14 days after award, conducting safety

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience identifying, classifying, handling, labeling, storing, and packaging hazardous waste.
• Working knowledge of hazardous waste management requirements and environmental regulations.
• Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, including 29 CFR 1910.
• Ability to develop, implement, and administer a comprehensive workplace Safety Program.
• Ability to interpret and apply environmental and safety requirements at federal, state, local, and contractual levels.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, classify, handle, label, store, and package hazardous waste per regulations.
• Develop, implement, administer, and maintain the Safety Program.
• Provide Safety Program documentation to Contracting Officer within 14 days of award.
• Coordinate safety inspections, trainings, and corrective actions.
• Investigate injuries, incidents, and safety violations and maintain records.
• Ensure subcontractor safety programs comply with contract requirements.
