Job summary

AMPI is seeking an experienced EHS professional to lead safety and environmental initiatives at our Blair, NE facility. You will train staff, enforce safety programs, and manage industrial hygiene and compliance efforts across operations.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in industrial safety, knowledge of OSHA standards, and a Bachelor’s in safety-related field. CSP and First Responder training are a plus; dairy operations knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in safety management, industrial health and safety, safety engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in operational safety management.
• Technical knowledge of milk, cheese and drying operations preferred.
• CSP with OSHA 511 course preferred.
• First Responder/BLS training preferred.
• Knowledge of 1904 Recordkeeping Standards and 1910 General Industry Standards.

Responsibilities

• Support Environmental, Health and Safety at facility by training and enforcing safety programs.
• Administer OSHA-compliant training programs and develop safe work behaviors.
• Manage industrial hygiene programs including testing and monitoring.
• Inspect waste handling, labeling and disposal records.
• Track and analyze safety metrics to identify gaps and improvements.
• Manage DOT driver files, drug screening and documentation.
• Maintain OSHA and environmental reporting and employee training records.
