Job summary
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is seeking an EHS Field Specialist I (C) to support environmental, health, and safety programs at facilities in Granada Hills and beyond. The role emphasizes compliance, training, and incident response, with on-site work at Jensen and Carson sites and travel within the service area.
Ideal candidates hold a related Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, and possess a California driver’s license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Health and Safety, or related field.
- Four years of experience in a Metropolitan classification in a related field are acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Learn and assist with the development and implementation of EHS programs.
- Assist with EHS inspections, investigations, and compliance activities at assigned facilities.
- Prepare reports and records related to EHS activities.
- Support the delivery of EHS training and safety awareness initiatives.
- Collaborate with staff to promote a culture of safety and compliance.
- Assist with responding to emergency calls or events and ensure proper EHS procedures are followed.
- Work extended periods in remote locations as needed.
