Job summary

Accelera Staffing is seeking an proactive EHS Specialist in Winfield, KS to oversee environmental, health, safety, security, and facilities within a manufacturing setting. Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, pay $26.00/hour.

This temp-to-hire role supports safety initiatives, audits, and vendor oversight to maintain a secure, well-maintained operation. The ideal candidate will have a GED or high school diploma, 12+ months in facilities/EHS/manufacturing, and strong MS Office skills, with aviation

Qualifications

GED or high school diploma required.
Minimum of 12 months of professional experience in facilities, EHS, or manufacturing.
A background in aviation is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to lift and transport items up to 50 pounds.
Must be flexible in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with safety initiatives and regulatory audits.
Use Gensuite to record safety tasks and inspections.
Ensure personnel complete required safety training modules.
Resolve safety issues to improve the work environment.
Support safety committee meetings with protocol enhancements.
Oversee identification badges and adjust facility access rights.
Monitor CCTV and security infrastructure, and coordinate third-party security contractors.
Manage preventive maintenance calendars and vendor tasks for fire safety, doors, and equipment.
Verify invoices and supervise service providers (shredding, housekeeping, contractors).
Collaborate with leadership to resolve daily operational challenges and drive safety culture.
