Job summary

Bascom Hunter is seeking an EHS & Facilities Specialist to oversee safe, compliant, and reliable operations at the Baton Rouge facility. The role combines facility operations, safety leadership, and environmental compliance across multiple locations.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 3–5 years of experience in safety or facilities, with strong OSHA knowledge and contractor coordination skills. Travel to other facilities may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Industrial Safety, Facilities Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in workplace safety, facilities, or related environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety practices.
• Experience coordinating facility maintenance activities and third‑party vendors.
• Ability to obtain vendor quotes and coordinate work through completion.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for day‑to‑day facility maintenance for the Baton Rouge site.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and service activities for building systems.
• Schedule and coordinate contractors, obtain quotes, and manage vendor performance.
• Lead day‑to‑day workplace safety activities and support safety training and audits.
• Coordinate environmental activities for waste streams and compliance.
