Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) leader for a on-site role in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. You will supervise plant operators, implement safety programs, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and local regulations.

The role requires a degree in engineering or related fields, 3–5 years of EHS experience, and a valid Class IV Wastewater Operator License. Strong English/Spanish communication and MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Technology, Occupational Health & Safety, or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in EHS.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Possess valid Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator License (PR).
• MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Supervise operators and on-site teams; assign work plans and review compliance.
• Implement safety and environmental policies in line with OSHA, EPA, and local regulations.
• Lead training on waste management, wastewater treatment, and chemical handling.
• Maintain environmental files and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Evaluate data to advise management on environmental risk and improvements.
