Job summary

CapstoneONE Search is seeking an EHS/Environmental Engineer to lead environmental compliance, permitting, and reporting within a fast-paced manufacturing setting. You will collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and maintenance to strengthen regulatory performance.

The role focuses on wastewater, storm water, waste management, sustainability initiatives, and a proactive EHS culture. A bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of environmental experience are required; relocation support is available for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2+ years environmental experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• Experience supporting health and safety programs in addition to environmental compliance.
• Knowledge of environmental compliance programs, permitting, reporting, recordkeeping, and regulations; TRI/Tier II experience preferred.
• Ability to read and apply Federal, State of Michigan and local environmental regulations; strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental compliance activities related to air, wastewater, storm water, chemical management, waste disposal, recycling, permitting, and reporting.
• Maintain accurate environmental records, permits, and compliance documentation per regulations.
• Evaluate production changes to ensure environmental requirements are maintained or improved.
• Lead environmental permit reviews and interface with regulatory agencies.
• Drive environmental improvement projects tied to sustainability and risk mitigation.
• Support broader health and safety programs, including training and contractor management.
