Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer (Construction) to lead the implementation of EHS programs on Cape Canaveral project sites. You will apply hands-on safety expertise in crane and rigging, heavy equipment, welding, and fabrication to protect workers and ensure compliance.

You will audit practices, train personnel, perform hazard analyses, and coordinate with leadership to enforce PPE requirements and health policies, while supporting incident

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of construction safety design and oversight experience.
• Experience with crane, rigging, welding, and fabrication safety.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, RCRA and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Implement, audit, and enforce contractor EHS programs on construction sites.
• Develop and maintain hazard identifications from inspections of facilities, machinery and safety equipment.
• Collaborate with leadership to set PPE requirements and health policies for construction sites.
• Provide oversight for crane, rigging, heavy equipment, welding, and fabrication activities.
• Monitor employee exposure to hazards during normal and emergency operations.
• Investigate incidents and write reports to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Educate construction personnel on cranes, rigging, welding safety, and fabrication.
• Ensure compliance with EPA, RCRA, DOT and other regulatory agencies.
