Job summary

Cepheid, a Danaher operating company, seeks an on-site EHS Engineer in Bothell, WA. You will partner with leaders to strengthen safety culture, perform risk assessments, and support environmental health and safety programs across the site.

Responsibilities include incident investigations, regulatory compliance, training, and continuous improvement using DBS tools. Travel up to 15% may be required; a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of related work experience in Environmental Health and Safety or a similar field.
• Experience identifying workplace hazards, completing risk assessments, and supporting corrective actions in regulated work environments.
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS requirements and ability to communicate with site leaders.
• Willingness to travel up to 15% and pass medical clearance including respirator use.

Responsibilities

• Partner with site leaders to improve safety culture and training.
• Conduct risk assessments for processes, equipment, and chemicals and develop corrective action plans.
• Support and improve EHS programs including lab safety, industrial hygiene, and waste management.
• Manage EHS projects and support DBS-driven continuous improvement.
