Job summary

Polluxa, Inc. seeks an EHS Engineer to act as the technical safety professional at the Helios data center campus in Afton, Texas. You will report to the Sr. Manager, EHS and work with operations and construction teams to independently manage EHS programs, investigations, and training.

You will identify hazards, implement controls, and sustain a strong preventive safety culture on site, while maintaining OSHA records and coordinating JHAs, risk assessments, and regulatory reporting as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, Safety, Environmental Science, or Engineering.
• 3-5 years of EHS experience in critical facility / industrial operations.
• ASP preferred; CSP encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical EHS resource for assigned work areas at our Helios data center campus.
• Develop, implement, and maintain site-level EHS programs in compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
• Conduct and document job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre-task planning, and risk assessments across assigned Galaxy work areas.
• Manage hazardous waste programs, including characterization, labeling, manifesting, and regulatory reporting (RCRA, satellite accumulation) for operations assignments.
• Lead site-level incident and near-miss investigations; develop corrective action plans and track to closure.
• Write incident investigation reports and corrective action plans; communicate hazard findings to operations and construction teams.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for Galaxy employees, subcontractors, and new hires independently.
• Maintain OSHA recordkeeping obligations, including 300/300A logs, 301 forms, and applicable regulatory submittals.
• Conduct workplace risk/exposure assessments for various classes of hazards.
• Periodically inspect and audit safe work practices to ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Provide technical guidance to EHS Technicians.
• Escalate regulatory concerns and significant safety issues to the Sr. Manager, EHS.
• Other duties as assigned by the Sr. Manager, EHS
