Job summary

Quanta Manufacturing Fremont is seeking an EHS Engineer to support federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulatory issues and manage compliance. You will help with safety training and reporting to ensure a safe workplace.

The role involves working within an existing EHS infrastructure, maintaining and improving safety standards, and coordinating cross-functional EHS activities to keep the site compliant with OSHA, NFPA, and IBC requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering or an EHS-related field.
• OSHA certification and first-aid training preferred.
• At least 2 years of EHS experience.
• Strong communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work within an existing infrastructure for EHS needs.
• Ensure the successful EHS quality & recommend how to improve the processes.
• Ensure the facility’s EHS standards are maintained and updated.
• Be professionally, managerially & administratively responsible for cross function EHS management.
• Knowledgeable in hazard communication program, SDS, labeling, storage, and handling of chemicals.
• Be able to assist in identification and training of EHS procedures and personal protective equipment.
• Maintains a current working knowledge of International, State, Federal and local laws as they pertain to EHS function to ensure organizational compliance.
• Serve as point of contact in areas effecting safety by establishing and maintaining safety programs and all required safety training records and OSHA 300 reports.
