Job summary

Vast is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Engineer to support the development of human-rated space stations. This is a full-time position based in Long Beach, California, focused on ensuring safety compliance and managing EHS technical programs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on EHS experience and a bachelor's degree in Environmental or related engineering, along with a commitment to safety standards and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 2-5+ years of hands-on EHS experience in a manufacturing or aerospace setting.
• Proven ability to manage technical projects and implement safety programs.
• Familiarity with high-risk aerospace hazards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review facility design changes for EHS compliance.
• Manage moderate to complex EHS technical programs.
• Conduct engineering level risk assessments and develop documentation.
• Lead technical incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS training to maintenance and engineering teams.
