Job summary

Flex is seeking an experienced EHS Director USA, Operations to lead site EH&S professionals across Austin, TX or Milpitas, CA. Reporting to Sr Director, EH&S, you will drive regulatory compliance and program implementation for regional operations, while promoting a strong safety culture.

You will mentor teams, manage capital projects, and support due diligence for M&A and real estate transactions, partnering with leaders to reduce risk and achieve best-in-class EH&S performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) management in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead site EH&S professionals to implement corporate EH&S programs.
• Drive cultural change with high employee engagement in EH&S performance.
• Mentor and coach site EH&S teams, enhance their skillsets, and build capability.
• Collaborate with regional leadership to drive EH&S improvements and governance.
• Manage EH&S-related capital projects, including permitting and risk mitigation.
• Support due diligence for mergers, acquisitions, and real estate transactions.
• Oversee incident monitoring, root cause analyses and corrective actions.
