Job summary

San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS) seeks an Environmental, Health & Safety Corporate Manager to lead our EHS initiatives and report to the Head of Human Resources. This role oversees safety training and regulatory compliance across factory, distribution center, and support areas.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in EHS with at least five years’ experience, excellent communication skills, and a degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering or related technical field preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication with diverse audiences.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in EHS.
• Knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and enhance safety training programs for factory, distribution center, and support areas.
• Maintain and enhance safety and environmental awareness materials and programs with a behavior-based approach.
• Analyze plant safety through inspections and audits to drive safety initiatives.
• Inspect facilities to detect EHS hazards and identify risk reduction opportunities.
• Collaborate with plant leadership to ensure practices and procedures are followed.
• Deliver safety programs (lockout/tag out) with departments.
• Provide regular written reports to Head of HR.
