Job summary

San Antonio Shoemakers (SAS) seeks a Corporate Manager for Transportation, Environmental, Health & Safety to lead fleet operations, safety programs and regulatory compliance in our San Antonio facilities. The role oversees maintenance, training, audits and environmental initiatives with a focus on cost efficiency and risk reduction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Engineering or related field is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in EH&S or related fields.
• Knowledge of environmental regulatory requirements and industrial safety practices.
• Strong understanding of vehicle operations, maintenance and safety regulations.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with ability to interact across levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee fleet operations: scheduling, driver coordination and route optimization.
• Manage preventive maintenance, repairs and safety standards for all vehicles.
• Ensure compliance with DOT, OSHA and licensing requirements; maintain safety records.
• Monitor costs including insurance, lease payments and total cost of ownership.
• Lead procurement decisions and communicate with leadership and insurers.
• Supervise drivers, mechanics and admin staff; balance operations with people management.
• Lead safety audits, hazard assessments and training programs.
• Develop environmental compliance plans and allocate safety resources.
