Cibo Vita in Totowa, NJ seeks an entry-level Safety Coordinator to support the EHS program across manufacturing, warehousing, and office areas. You will assist with hazard assessments, incident investigations, trainings, and daily safety procedures to ensure compliance with OSHA and local regulations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Understanding of OSHA regulations and best practices.
• Ability to deliver safety trainings to groups up to 50 people.
• Bilingual in English/Spanish for written and verbal communication.
• Willing to maintain CPR/AED/First Aid certifications during employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections of equipment and safety features.
• Implement and manage assigned safety programs.
• Respond to incidents with initial first aid and assist root cause analysis.
• Assist in internal safety audits and site inspections.
• Deliver EHS trainings, including new-hire orientation and topic-specific sessions.
• Lead or participate in the site safety committee and daily safety meetings.
• Issue PPE and manage PPE inventory; identify and drive continuous improvement to mitigate hazards.
