Job summary

Optimized Process Designs, LLC (OPD) seeks an EHS Coordinator for its Katy, TX headquarters. As a Koch Engineered Solutions company, OPD supports large-scale projects nationwide. The role is based in-office in Katy and not eligible for visa sponsorship.

You will support EHS across shop, warehouse, and office, organize inspections, develop training, drive environmental compliance, and lead incident investigations while fostering a culture of safety and trust among employees.

Qualifications

• Experience EHS support or Associates degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management, Industrial Hygiene, or other related science/engineering degree.
• Experience using Microsoft Office programs as well as learn proprietary software systems.
• Willingness to be CPR/AED/First Aid certified and certified under the Substance Abuse Testing policy.

Responsibilities

• Support the shop, warehouse, and office in EHS matters including safe permitting processes and incident investigations.
• Organize and participate in inspections to ensure safe operations and work practices.
• Develop and present EHS training as well as conduct new hire orientation.
• Assist in leading EHS committee activities and following up on action items.
• Drive environmental excellence such that compliance with all environmental rules and regulations is achieved.
• Manage the Katy SWP3 and required testing.
• Facilitate continuous improvement by identifying creative solutions to gaps in systems and processes.
• Develop a culture of trust with all OPD employees by establishing and cultivating relationships through effective interactions and timely response to employees concerns and requests.
