Job summary

Optimized Process Designs (OPD), a Koch Engineered Solutions company, seeks a Project Manager to lead EPC projects from development through commissioning and turnover. The role emphasizes conceptual design, project execution, leadership, and business development, based in Katy, TX at our headquarters.

The Project Manager will oversee technical design, vendor selection, and coordination across disciplines, with travel up to 20% and no visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering and/or construction discipline or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading EPC, large capital, industrial, or infrastructure projects with accountability for project planning, cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, and customer engagement.
• Understanding of prime contract and subcontract language.
• Experience creating and reviewing design drawings and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Develop or assist with conceptual designs for new projects.
• Provide technical design and engineering oversight through project completion.
• Review process equipment, vendor selection, and subcontractor services.
• Coordinate design documents including P&IDs, valve specs, piping definitions, and equipment specs.
• Liaise between engineering disciplines, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure sound engineering design.
• Lead customer reviews.
• Travel up to 20% to project sites.
• Lead and conduct quality assurance reviews in office and on-site.
• Drive critical decisions for large-scale projects.
