Job summary

Texas State Technical College is seeking an EHS Coordinator to implement the Safety Program across assigned Abilene and Sweetwater campuses. You will lead training, inspections, incident investigations, and emergency drills to ensure compliance with federal, state, and college safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold an Associate degree in a related field with OSHA 30 and OSHA outreach trainer certifications, plus 0–2 years in EHS. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in an approved field from an accredited college or university.
• OSHA 30, OSHA outreach trainer certifications required.
• 0–2 years of Environmental, Health & Safety experience; relevant safety experience may count towards degree requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver required safety training for employees on assigned campuses.
• Oversee safety inspections of buildings, grounds, kitchens, shops, and equipment.
• Coordinate campus safety meetings with agendas and minutes.
• Conduct accident investigations and report data for quarterly reviews.
• Train and supervise Campus Safety Coordinators and Safety Leads.
• Coordinate fire drills and emergency evacuations.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate hazards and risks.
• Evaluate compliance with policies and regulations.
