Job summary

AWP Safety is seeking an Environmental, Health & Safety Coordinator to provide day-to-day EHS support across designated facilities in Indiana and nearby regions. The role emphasizes coaching field personnel, developing safety programs, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and internal SOPs.

Qualifications

• 3 - 5 years of work experience in the EHS field.
• Minimum education is an Associate's Degree in EHS or other applicable field.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Safety Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.
• Intermediate knowledge of OSHA orders and recognized safety regulations and standards.
• Intermediate knowledge in conducting and evaluating root cause analyses and corrective actions.
• Intermediate knowledge of conducting hazard evaluations for complex jobs.
• Proficient skills in Microsoft Office software applications, software management systems, and EHS management systems and reporting platforms.
• Must be able to connect with field-level customers and contacts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain working relationships with your team.
• Contributes to the engagement and ongoing development of AWP Safety employees.
• Must adhere to and promote safe workplace practices.
• Valid drivers’ license and ability to meet AWP Safety driver standards

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day EHS support to the facility locations and operating teams.
• Coach, teach, and train field personnel on safe operating behaviors and safety programs.
• Conduct compliance reviews and safety assessments to support EHS management.
• Maintain, audit, and update SOPs for safe work practices and equipment.
• Mentor regional employees through the EHS Management System.
• Review incidents and conduct field audits, reporting, and corrective actions.
• Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
