Job summary

Riggs Distler is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Coordinator to join our Northeast/Mid-Atlantic projects. You’ll collect EH&S data, assist in safety planning, and support incident investigations while collaborating with operations teams. Travel across RI and MA is required as projects demand.

The role emphasizes safety program administration, documentation, and training delivery to maintain best-in-class compliance. A related degree and EHS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• BS degree and 1+ year of combined experience in safety, electrical utility ops, environmental protection or health.
• 5 years in EHS with focus on electric utility construction is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and OSHA 500 certification are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collect and file EH&S forms, records and documentation.
• Deliver and document safety trainings and orientations.
• Process incidents, near-miss and good catch reports and follow-ups.
• Prepare EH&S reports and bulletins; assist in safety plans.
• Participate in pre-job planning and health and safety plan development.
• Support environmental compliance inspections and regulatory research.
